Akadi, The Wavemother

Akadi is the goddess of the Sea, Lakes, Rivers and other bodies of water. She is both a calming and chaotic presence, her mood changing like the tides of the Seas. However the Sea is a cleansing place, and she sees to keep it that way.   Those who pray to Akadi often pray for calm seas and the healing properties of rivers, streams and ponds. Small temples are carved out for Akadi on the Coast, and in landlocked areas their are enclaves hidden away near springs and waterfalls.   The faithful of Akadi are usually close to nature, and allied to druids, who count Akadi among the First Circle. It is taboo to strike a priest of Akadi, and killing one is said to bring great misfortune. Despite the measure of protection that this belief affords them, most priests of Akadi avoid conflicts rather than attempting to quell them. Those who serve Akadi are happy to preside over peaceful negotiations and to certify treaties, but they can’t force others to engage in harmony.   Akadi is located in Aborea, in the Seastone Enclave. Located beneath the waves of a lake, this palace is filled with all manner of coral, sea creatures, and treasures only found in the ocean.
