Zaridun, The Changer of Ways

Zaridun is the god of change, evolution, intrigue and pure unbridled madness. Zaridun is especially empowered by the desire for change and ambition for advancement among mortals. It is he who weaves the threads that connect every action, plot and subtle intrigue in a multiverse-wide game of manipulation and subterfuge. Zaridun does not plot towards some end (at least none that can be comprehended he schemes simply to scheme. He is constantly building, even as his devices unravel under their own complexity. They watch over the plans of their playthings as they unfold into history, toying with fate and fortune; both for his own entertainment and to further his unfathomable schemes.   The skin of Zaridun crawls with constantly changing faces, leering at and mocking onlookers. As they speak, these faces repeat their words with subtle but important differences, or provide a commentary that throws doubt upon their words. These lesser faces appear and disappear quickly, but the puckered visage of Zaridun himself remains low down in his chest, so that head and body are one. From above Zaridun's burning eyes spring two sweeping horns, the spiraling extremities of which crackle with arcane fire.   Zaridun is the god of ultimate change and ambition, he always seeks to change the status quo. However, the very nature of the Lord of Entropy is such that, were he to attain this triumph, he would still strive for turmoil and change. This often leads to the lesser known dominion of Zaridun, unbridled chaos and madness. All the ambition and plotting just for the sake of either can often drive a creature, and even a god into pure chaos. Many of Zaridun's followers have started following this chaotic god in the attempt to change their current situation, or rise in power through plotting, but often fall to the same madness that consumed their god. Zaridun is thought to have driven himself completely mad in the abyss, and even the other dark gods stay away from Zaridun. It is madness unending.   Zaridun is believed to be chained in the deepest pits of the Abyss, bound by divine shackles that slowly weaken, leaking his madness into the planes.
