Culture and cultural heritage

The Ubaid Scyth are sworn to the oath of hunting down members of the Byblosi Archaeum and are known as vicious killers. They have sworn an eternal war until every Byblosi clan member is eradicated from the world. They have inhereted a shadow war of assassination plots and coup de'tats between them and their enemies.   An Ubaid Scyth often walks a lonely path of vengeance, or otherwise finds themselves working for other more powerful clans in the capacity of hired assassins. Having no permanent settlements of their own, this clan of tokage is bound by their nomadic nature.

Shared customary codes and values

The Ubaid Scyth are a spurned clan of tokage who always seem to get the short end of the stick, they descend from slave vassals to their Byblosi overlords. In the ancient times of the Era of Light, small settlements of early tokage were forced to pay tribute to the ruling empire of the Byblosi Archaeum.   When the pharoahs of the Byblosi fell, it was the Ubaid Scyth who first threw off their yokes and slayed their former masters, often strangling them with the very chains they were bound in. For this they were punished severely in the closing days of the Era of Light, mercenaries and warlords were hired to discipline the slaves. Many died, but others went into hiding to escape the wrath of their dying overlords.   This clan of tokage work best in the shadows, mostly finding work as assassins or mercenaries. Some still wear their broken chains as a symbol of their clan pride.

Average technological level

It has been said that the Ubaid Scyth in times long ago worked with God Queen Morrigan in a bid for power over their overlords, and that they were taught the secrets of black nura to use against the forces of the Byblosi Archaeum.

Common Etiquette rules

"A Scyth less seen is a Scyth living well," is a common phrase in their dialect. Most Ubaid Scyth prefer to be unassuming and do their best to blend into crowds. They are not bragadocious and prefer to keep things under lock and key. An Ubaid Scyth will seldom share a secret, even with close friends.

Common Dress code

Ubaid Scyth are most recognizable by the broken chains they wear around their wrists, symbolizing their freedom from enslavement. Other than this however, they often wear concealing clothing, including turbans, cloaks, and masks. Wrapping linen around their forearms and legs is also a common clothing style.

Common Customs, traditions and rituals

Their patron deity is Verdance of Lover's Loins, a provocative aspect of Dragarn that explores the deepest depths of corruption of the soul. It has been said that the cult exclusively hires talented young Ubaid Scyth girls from an early age in the art of the "sensual assassin," a specialist assassin that strikes when their target is the most vulnerable. It is said that Verdance is their divine protector and that tokage assassins make prayers to the deity just before their kill.

Relationship Ideals

As self-sufficient loners, relationships are often discouraged; the continuation of one's lineage is important, but the world will sort out the details.
