Archmage

Archmages are among the most powerful spellcasters in the world and gain this title through their accumulation of power and skill. Generally, mages gain this title after being accepted into a council or conclave of archmages. As such, the exact definition of an archmage varies from place to place. However, they generally have become masters of their respective schools of magic, with much practice in many others. They also usually have attained the knowledge to manipulate magical power at a level unattainable by normal spellcasters.
