Half-Elf

Half-Elves are one of the more common hybrid races. They are essentially exclusively human and elf crossbreeds, although they are not necessarily precisely half-human and half-elf, as the exact percentages can vary. Also, they do not necessarily have to be sired by a full human and a full elf. They can arise from a half-elf breeding with a human or elf as well as an elf breeding with another partially human race such as the genasi, tieflings, and kalashtar. The only hybrid race that a half-elf cannot be sired by is the half-orc as elves and orcs are entirely unable to procreate.

Half-Elves have no country of their own, as they most commonly arise from the occasional relationship between an elf and a human, an uncommon relationship. However, due to their dual nature, they can be commonly found within diplomatic and ambassadorial organizations. Their charismatic nature, free spirit, and affinity with magic have also caused a considerable number of infamous thieves and pirates throughout history to be half-elven.
