Tantulhor

Tantulhor is a metal ore that can only be found on four of the layers of Baator, or the Nine Hells (Phlegethos, Malbolge, Maladomini, and Nessus). It is approximately the weight of iron and resembles bronze in color. However, it is seemingly indestructible and is capable of retaining incredibly powerful enchantments. It is theorized by some mages that the limits of its enchantment abilities are limited only by the abilities of the enchanter themselves. The existence of this material is almost completely unknown outside of the Nine Hells, with the methods of both forging and working the metal being exclusive to the smiths of Baator who work on it. There are only three known fortresses within the Nine Hells that protect tantulhor mines, and within those fortresses are also the blacksmiths who work the material. Very few mortals have ever gotten hold of any items made from the metal, and how exactly some individuals got an item made from the material is completely unknown; the only guesses include deals with fiends and possibly debts owed by fiends to the mortals.
