Tlahuati Canyon
The Tlahuati Canyon is one of the most interesting and exotic locations in Beogar, if not the entire known world. It is a massive canyon that stretches over 100 miles across, and is several thousand miles long. Inside of it lies a massive tropical rainforest fed by large hot springs and waterfalls from the surface. Inside of this canyon, be it on the ground or built into the sides, there can be found many different nations with a plethora of inhabitants. Its natural fertility is a stark comparison to the Ghihovi Wastes, of which it borders.
Geography
The stone in the canyon has a high content of iron, granting a very reddish hue. That stone is mostly sandstone, limestone, and mudstone. However, at the very bottom of the chasm, this stone gives way to a modest amount of basalt and similar igneous rocks. The chasm floor, along with the many tiered platforms that line its side, are covered in a thriving tropical rainforest. This flora is sustained by the countless mineral-rich hot springs found in the Tlahuati Canyon, which is in turn fed by large amounts of subterranean volcanic activity.
The canyon itself is the largest currently known, stretching an incredible distance in both length and width. Inside of it lie a large amount of nations, each with an incredible amount of cities and villages. It is also the home to some of the more uncommon races of the world such as tabaxi, lizardfolk, and tortles.
