Description: Depicted as a reptilian looking human, Itznama is considered to be the source of all education to the Michocano. He taught man the rule of law, how to grow food, how to worship the gods, and written language. It was Itznama who taught the Michocano that maize and cacao were edible. A prominent altar is found in all government buildings, libraries, and most temples.
