Giancarlito Salzella

Giancarlito Salzella (a.k.a. The Amazing Performing Ape)

Once an absolutely normal professionally trained circus ape, Giancarlito was hit on the head by a book, thrown by the ringmaster Giuseppe Willikers whereupon in his unconsciousness he had a vision of Vaeloria the Shimmering Veil who granted him a higher level of sentience. The performing ape demonstrated this almost immediately by greasing the mans shoes with a spell and causing him to slip only to land on a pile of elephant dung, whereupon he rolled around in it, and got a little bit in his mouth. Giancarlito then renegotiated with circus management for a higher salary. They struck a deal at a pound of peanuts a day. Life was good for a while, Giancarlito Salzella expanded his performance, becoming famous for entertaining social functions, business outings, and offered competitive rates for his services, usually amounting to a pound of peanuts per days work. He gained a performing partner Jibjub, a talking talk that further enhanced his act. All the while he strove to perfect his art. It all changed when his the circus where he had built his life and honed his skills shut down because the owner and ringmaster Giuseppe Willikers embezzled the profits and ran off, also taking Jibjub, Giancarlitos talking dog. Now, to restore the circus, Giancarlito must find his dog, the errant owner and the money and set off as a wandering performer in search of the thieving criminal.
