Stonemantle

Perched like a crown upon the frosted reaches of Brakkar Hold, Stonemantle stands as the capital—a city where the very stones speak of strength and unity. Its towering walls and spiraled towers, carved from the living rock of the Aged Peaks, shine with the crystalline shimmer of enchanted ice that never melts, even as the seasons turn.   Stonemantle's streets are aglow with the Flames of Fellowship, magical braziers that burn with an ethereal fire, casting a warmth that is felt in the soul as much as on the skin. These flames, said to be kindled by the breath of dragons from the era of myths, symbolize the fiery heart of Brakkar Hold and serve as beacons for the Council of the Flame, guiding the federation of chieftains from across the land to their congress.   At the city's core lies the Hall of Embers, a vast chamber where the council meets. The Hall's ceiling is a tapestry of living flame, an enchanted fire that dances and swirls to reflect the council's discourse and decisions. It is said that when unity is achieved among the chieftains, the flames dance in harmonious patterns, but when discord arises, the flames churn in a tumultuous storm.   Its legendary Frostforge—an ancient, arcane anvil located at the heart of Stonemantle's grandest smithy. Here, weapons and armors are forged not only from metal but also from ice that is as hard as steel—a secret technique passed down through generations. The Frostforged armaments are rumored to be imbued with the essence of winter itself, granting them supernatural sharpness and an unyielding edge.   Once every year, as the Eternal Flame is brought forth from Flameguard, Stonemantle transforms for the Festival of Ash and Ember. The city is ablaze with lights, and the air thrums with drums and the chants of unity. During this festival, the Frostforge is opened to the public, and the finest smiths compete to create marvelous items that are then offered to the Eternal Flame in a spectacular display of fire and ice, their offerings believed to empower the Flame for the year to come.   Stonemantle is not just the political heart of Brakkar Hold; it is a city where the ancient and the magical intertwine with the lives of its people, where the strength of the Hold is made manifest, and where the legacy of the north is forged anew with each passing day.
