The historic origin on the Northren houses
This article describes the history of the people exiled from Krag and their venture around the Alba summits to eventually settle the nordic cities in Heitrland.
The exile (year ~99-150 PA)
As the Krag dwarves settled their great city under the Olympus Mons, many Non-dwarven humanoids were not satisfied with the governing plans for the city. They wanted to find a way to the surface before settling the city, as well as more policies tending towards the exploratory occupation. The people revolted but was overpowered by the dwarven militia. They were immediately exiles from the city and had to go back into the underground tunnels under the Raven peaks. Slowly the people migrated northward and found that the tunnels lead to the surface in the Vincula valley. Here the people followed the Raven peaks until they found the Redwood forest that leads them to the ocean. They founded the city of Taxodiaceae on the bank of the Anguis lake close to the ocean. With the abundance of resources their city quickly grew and lead them to found the nation of Roðinn. The bleeding expansion (year ~170-210 PA)
As their nation grew their settlements began expanding inwards among the Bleeding Banks. Scouting parties encountered the Orcs living in the Immanis Woodland. All diplomatic actions failed and a long standing war began between Roðinn and the orcs of Khurd. The humanoids quickly found them selves outnumbered, and could not sufficently protect their people from the Raiding Ors. The war lasted many years with heavy loses, but in an act of desperation the humans reached out for help, and ancient divine being god of the giants extended his power and transformed their warriors into a new more powerful race that could overcome the Orc strength, the goliaths. The Orcs where pushed back to the Immanis Woodland, and the Humanoids began settling all the way around the forest to show their dominance and resolve. The waring conflict around Immanis continues to this day, the conflict itself has become tradition for both Men and Orc to participate in and show ones worth, this has gone on to the point of generating a type of waring peace where the goal is not longer to eraticate the other. The Winter Highway (year ~210-320 PA)
After the Bleeding expansion, the people of Roðinn had become adapt at developing settlement in the harsh northern climate. It became a Noble action to establish a new settlement along the White Depth. Many settlements found on different principles where erected along the coast, granting each Noble and his family great status and political power. The road connecting many of these new settlements became Known as the Winter Highway, and as their nation grew so did their culture. This great expansion happend over several generations and stretched over 900km long all the way to Hafa Grove, At this point they could no longer be defined as one nation but would come to call their people the Northerners.Auril´s pilgrimage (year ~290-295 PA)
As the Winter highway was being established, there was sighting of blue reflected light comming from the south. These lights where sought to be from Auril also known as the frostmaiden, if these light would shine on the sommer solstice it would mean a harsh winter would be comming that year. One year the light where seen to be slightly moving. Fearing this to be a apocalyptic signal of the frostmaiden, the people mustered a group of explorers to treck to the light and seek the mercy of Auril. Upon arrival they found that the origin of the light came from sunlight bouncing of giant iceshards reaching out of the ground, the area became known as Issheim. The shards had the bizzare feature of being able to repel all forms of radiation generating a heated region around themselves. While searching the grounds they found a wandering cloud giant, who had been stuck within the ice and was working on finding his fellow kin. Only a few years later a city was founded around the holy site. They would use the power of the shards to heat they surroundings helping their people's survivability, agriculture exploration and more. The cryo awakening (year ~315-325
In the center of Issheim was a giant crater, where a heavy concentration of shards where growing. This crater where utilized as for their shard mining operations overseen by Jathor the giant. After a few years of mining other giants where found, entraped within the ice. As they released the giants, they realised that these where a grouping of very distictly different types, and most does not recall much of their history. Most of the giant did not want to affinate with the humanoids and tried to take control. After the ordeal the giants where subdued and all rebelling giants where banished, the frostgiants to the eastern realms of Snærvollr and the Fire giants to the caves under the Albas. (get more intreging event a form of giant conflict)The nordic split
After the cryo awakening several giant had to find their way to live amongst the humans, but the nature of most giant did not assimilate with society. Under the polical struggle on how to facilitate the giant kin, a new settlement would be made further southeast where biggar game and land could help build a new home for giants and man. This new place would be called Fystheim and would be positioned close to the south end of the xeo range, where most mammoths and other big game thrived. The settlement was overseen by the einhend family.
