"The irony. A zealot and a slave to a beast. Criticizing me for heresy?" The Paradigm mage laughed, before groaning and clutching the wound inflicted by the knight's heavy axe.
"I serve Sivoran," Faedru said, shifting the weight of his axe in his hand, "Lord of wisdom and strength. I am no slave."
The mage paused. He looked at the towering figure ahead of him, the light illuminating his dulled bronze armor. His wicked edged axe was a testament to his brutality. The knight would kill him. Of that he was sure.
"You serve your own delusions," the mage said at last, his voice a hoarse whisper. "Sivoran would never approve of you."
