Council of the Nine Spears
Also called "the Nine Spears," this group of nine deities banded together and banished the Cozened at the end of the Divine Crusades. In order to lock the Cozened away from the Material Plane, the Nine Spears sacrificed their own ability to walk on the Material Plane as well.
Structure
The Council of Nine Spears is ostensibly an equal communion of nine deities, but all spears bow to Ilíos, the First and Lord of the Spears. The Nine are:

- Kálimir
- Magiarr
- Nynemos
- Tojun

The Nine protect the Material Plane from Cozened incursions, other evils, and the wills of errant deities.
History
After the death of Aemulus, Ilíos met secretly with eight other gods: Pólemos, Afthonía, Ímagris, Kheses, Kálimir, Magiarr, Nynemos, and Tojun. Together they formed the Council of Nine Spears and wove a powerful spell to force the Cozened from the Material Plane. This act of sacrifice not only prevented the Cozened from returning to Argea. It also prevented any of the Nine from walking among mortals again. This spell, called the Barrier Covenant, is a legendary sacrificial act.
