The Silent Sheikh

The Silent Sheikh is a figure shrouded in the whispers of myth and the shadows of legend. Their name is whispered like a curse throughout the world. Clad in flowing robes the color of the night sky, the Silent Sheikh moves unseen, their presence only felt as a passing chill in the air. Their face is hidden beneath a veil that is said to be woven from the darkness itself. The Silent Sheikh’s method of assassination is as mysterious as their persona. Their victims are found at dawn, appearing as though they simply fell into an eternal slumber, with no mark upon their skin, no sign of struggle, and no trace of poison. It is said that they employ a rare and ancient technique that stops the heart with a whisper, a technique known only to them and bestowed by the Noxious King. Because the Silent Sheikh kills without a trace, some suspect that the Sheikh is but a specter and that the true killer is a contagion.
Despite this, the mere mention of the Silent Sheikh’s name is enough to silence crowded rooms in highborn castles across the world. The Sheikh--real or otherwise--is seen as a perverse arbiter of life and death, a specter that haunts the dreams of the powerful and who answers to an unknown will.
