Tomb of the Tsar
The Tomb of the Tsar is the burial place of Tsar Vorodimir I, the founder of Korolevia. He and thousands of his relatives were buried in this massive catacomb beneath the mountains. The entrance to the Tomb is a masterwork of dwarven architecture. Imposing towers rise 400 feet from the valley floor. The gate between the towers is 100 feet tall and protected by dozens of arrowslits and murder holes. Few pilgrims are brave enough to camp beneath these impressive fortifications for fear that the dead within will use them to exact vengeance upon the living. Nationalistic Korolevians make an annual pilgrimage to the Tomb of the Tsar to pay their respects. (Few dare enter the tomb, however. It once housed thousands of corpses as the resting place for Tsardom's nobility. An incident on the 11th of Harvest, 266 YGP, known as The Rising, caused the dead in the tomb to return in undeath.)
According to an inscription on the towers of the Tomb, Tsar Vorodimir I was interred in the grandest--and deepest--mausoleum inside the mountain fortress. There he lies in state adorned in the resplendent armor bestowed upon him by Kostyavir, protected by six adamantine sentinels.
