After fighting the King-eater to a draw, Arkan turned south and used his international prestige to found a new kingdom; one built on the religious and arcane knowledge he received from Ilíos. With his great power, Arkan raised a magnificent capital city from the iron-rich banks of the Rossitan River and named it Ferrostone. At the center of his new capital, Arkan wove a magnificent palace of iron, brick, and glass using only his nearly fathomless power. From within the ornate walls of the Astralspire Citadel, the newly crowned King Arkan led his kingdom. By Ilíos' grace, his life was prolonged, granting him immortality.

From within the ornate walls of the Astralspire Citadel, the newly crowned King Arkan led his kingdom. By Ilíos' grace, his life was prolonged, granting him immortality. Despite Arkan's immortality, he stepped away from the day-to-day governance of Arkanmere after a century of leadership. While Arkan continues to supervise from the background, he permits stewards to govern in his stead. The first of these stewards, his grandson Rallis, founded Arkanehall University in his honor. The university’s charter outlines its intent to educate those of any ancestry “gifted with arcane or religious power and the drive to learn the great mysteries of Argea.” is widely considered to be the only center of learning equal to the Runeshrine University network headquartered in Edmund’s Bridge, Alandr.
