WorldEmber 2023 Prep

My depression has been getting to me, and so I'm starting my prep on the 30th of November. Even though I've been looking forward to this event since Summer Camp ended, life has been interfering with my creativity. Where it used to be a refuge from everything that was wrong in my life, I have let myself drift aimlessly away in the consuming darkness.

And I don't like that.

So, here I am, trying to drum up anything that resembles excitement and trying not to let contract negotitions and NaNo drama and everything else stand in my way of achieving my goals and realizing my dreams.

Goals

Having spent the last several weeks letting my creativity bubble and brew like a cauldron full of magic, I'm actually beginning to look forward to December, and participating in my first WorldEmber. And, just like my first Summer Camp this year, I plan to go all in. I've already been accepted once more as a Community Sponsor, and I'll be pushing for 50,000 words of new worldbuilding. Because I need to fill in some plot holes.

So I plan to focus on filling in a lot of the little details around the locations of Crossroads Inn and Tilth. As well, I need to learn more about Brindin, and so I'll be using the Campfire Cards that Jake got me for my birthday to help learn more about him.

Mini-Meta

I've put a bit of thought into this, and I think that -- considering the scope of my planned WorldEmber adventure -- that the outline for The Haunting of Library Inn will serve well enough as a mini-meta for this project.

Front Page

I've been thinking about this ever since I upgraded my account in September. It is something that I need, desperately, to do, and I think that it will be a large focus in January, once I've let the words pour out and everything in my work life is settled more firmly.

Last-Minute!!

This whole thing has been last-minute! Still, here I am, showing up, doing the thing. And in the end, that's what counts.
