Dragons

The dragons are a species created directly by the Founders. They came into being when the Founders took the newly formed life energy and shaped it into creatures similar to themselves. But, being created from the life energy, unlike the Founders, the dragons were mortal creatures.
All dragons were assigned to guard the balance of the elements and were given some elemental powers to aid them in this task. The Founders shared their elemental energy, as they had before, but the pure power proved too great for the dragons to handle. Through mixing the elements, the power was diluted to a point where the dragons could finally accept their creators' gifts.
Thus the dragons took form, in the shape of their creators, but with various colors and elemental powers. Some had bright scales in vibrant colors, others had tough metallic scales that glimmered in the light.
They spread all over Argeth, finding places where the elemental energy was the strongest, and worked together to keep the world balanced.
