Shadow Slayer

Shadow Slayers are mercenaries that hunt down monsters created by the Shadowrealm.
They often scout and patrol areas that are prone to monster invasions, but generally Shadow Slayers are hired through Slayer guilds.
Every large town has at least one guild, and major cities often have multiple competing guilds. Some guilds work together, and others have multiple locations, but there is no overarching authority over Slayer guilds.

Aspiring Slayers often need to complete a trial before they are allowed to join the guild.

Career Progression

Once an aspiring Slayer joins a guild, they often start out as trainees under the guidance of more experienced members. Trainees become junior Slayers once their mentor approves them. As they complete hunts their skill can be acknowledged by the guildmaster and they will be dubbed senior members.
