Personal history

Under the gentle gaze of a full moon, a half-elven babe is born. Swaddled in purple cloth and cradled by his mother, Nasdamn, was born. His father, being a human adventurer, had left his mother after their first and only sexual encounter; thus, leaving Ynx, Nasdamn's mother, alone to take care of her only child. Even as a child, Nasdamn had a flair for the dramatic and an artist's touch when it came to performing with musical instruments. By the age of two, he had mastered the lute and the viol. By age five, he was performing for the entire Dolphin Tribe, with each note carrying the weight of a thousand symphonies but the grace of the softest lullaby. The boy was a prodigy. However, like most artists, the young lad lost his muse. It was inexplicable and seemingly came without reason. His mother tried to comfort him and everyone in the Dolphin Tribe had done their best to lift his spirits, but nothing seemed to shake Nasdamn out of his perpetual self-loathing. Perhaps realizing that Nas, now old enough to travel and being at the age where the Dolphin Tribe would no longer accept a half-blood, needed to leave and find his inspiration once more with her parting advice being that if he didn't find the spark of creativity he desired then he should at least seek out his father just to see him. And so the young half-elf went off with only the clothes on his back, his violin, a small bag full of the sand his home was situated near, and the ever burning desire to find that which had made him so great. His journey was fruitless though. He stared up at the stars, he sang folktales to the downtrodden, he performed for charity and even started to admire artwork but nothing seemed to inspire him. After years of searching, he wandered into the forest and picked up his violin. For eight days and seven nights, he sang a mournful melody of unrest and discontent. He cried to the stars, he wailed to the trees, he begged to the powers greater than himself for anything or anyone, to bestow upon him the inspiration he so deeply yearned for. However, it wasn’t until the 8th night where he finally passed out from exhaustion. As he lay sleeping on the forest floor, Nas saw in his dreams an elven maid. Her hair, straight at the roots and curling ever so faintly at the tips, was a captivating onyx that complimented her ocean blue eyes as the softest and most alluring smirk formed on her soft lips. Her ears pointed slightly through her hair as she walked forward, her strapless teal gossamer dress flowing behind her. It mostly covered her petite frame, only leaving her shoulders and arms exposed. Nasdamn was dumbfounded. Never before had he been so enraptured by a woman in his life, and imagine his shock when she revealed to him that she was a noble of the Summer court and her name was Calliope. She explained to him that she had been listening to his music for some time, and was interested in seeing his talent for crafting breathtaking pieces of musical genius first hand. He nodded slowly and soon began a beautiful relationship. Calliope took Nas on as his patron, bringing him to the Feywild and introducing him to the Summer Court, where he caught the attention of Damh, Queen Titania’s son and bard of the court. Damh took a liking to Nas and they adopted a sort of rock-star friendship with Damh mentoring Nas in the ways of imbuing his songs with Fey magic. This elevated Nasdamn’s music to an entirely new level, that of which he never dreamed of. Damh even taught Nas a song that could only be played by Nas as he was the only mortal to be taught the specific way of performing the piece. Between his lessons and generally experiencing the Feywild, Nasdamn spent a large majority of his time with Calliope. He was smitten with her. Almost wherever she went, he followed. If she even looked as if she was slightly uninterested in what he was playing, Nas would play a different instrument and an entirely new set of music. Though Calliope did not initially openly show her affection she eventually confessed her feelings and the two were inseparable. That was until Queen Titania deemed Nas had overstayed his visit. There were several reasons why he was supposed to leave in the eyes of the Queen; for instance, him just being a half-blood, his charisma possibly unsettling the court by drawing away her subjects, Damh teaching him a song specifically known by Fey, and having the name of the Summer Court being tied to the politics and issues of the Material Plane. Obviously, the young bard objected to this and pledged his undying loyalty to the Fey, begging that the Queen not tear Calliope away from him. With Damh and Verenestra, Titania’s daughter, supporting Nasdamn’s plea Titania finally relented, but with a catch. She explained that he needed to prove his was worthy in order to be apart of her court and thus be with Calliope. She gave him three tasks. However, the tasks were impossible ones. Each more difficult than the next and worst of all, he only will know the next by finishing the former. For if he wishes to be seen as worthy, he must first prove his worth matches the conviction of his song. Unphased by the challenge, Nasdamn agreed and thus the story of Nasdamn, the bard, truly begins. He was sent back to Arhor’ha. Over time he finds that the insatiable muse of his song forms the basis for his impossible quests. He must be confident in his abilities as a musician to know what he is interpreting is correct. He must do it. He will only know if he is right by completing it. It is a test of his faith, conviction, and ability. Will he be reunited with his love? Is his father even alive? Find out in this thrilling new season of Arhor'ha!
