Runt, Exile of the Thunder Rock Clan
Exile of the Thunder Rock Clan Runt
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
While Tall and Bulky from a Eastern perspective, Runt is actually small and scrawny compared to the rest of his Clan. He is very athletic and has trained hard to be as strong as he is, but he can still become stronger. Although it is usually hidden under his clothes, once disrobed you can see a spider web of scarred scales branching down his body from a central point. Runt doesn't like to talk about it.
Body Features
Runt's scales are a muddled blue grey, like blue iron slag. Such a coloration is a far cry from the deep sapphire blue of his father or even the the gentle cerulean of his mother. His scales are shined less through any meticulous preening or natural luster, but rather by desert winds and stinging sands. As such, the shiny finish is inconsistent in areas that are less likely to be exposed, giving him a certain highlighting of prominent features.
Facial Features
Runt's face is somewhat thin and gaunt, his face showing both youth and wear. He has a respectably sized ivory horn rising from the bridge of his nose with scales around his ears frilling out as facial fins.
Mental characteristics
Personal history
The son of the Chiefian of Thunder Rock, Runt was expected to do great things. Such a lineage of greatness behind him and a world of possibilities ahead, all eyes lay on the brilliant cerulean blue of his egg. The surprise in everyone’s eyes when the smallest whelp the medicine woman had ever seen emerged. Sickly and weak, Runt wasn’t expected to live past his first year. However, if there is only one thing Runt has, it is a will to live. Being smaller than his Siblings and peers made growing up hard for Runt, but his determination to match the others in speed and strength drove him forward. Such a drive was also fostered by his Grandfather, Kragon the Wise, one of the Tribe’s shamanistic elders. Kragon saw potential in Runt, and envisioned the man he could be. Taking Runt under his wing he helped Runt practice and train to grow stronger, occasionally showing him bits of the primordial arcana practiced by the Outlanders. Runt never really understood magic, but learned to respect it. He still remembers the first time he saw a Storm Elemental summoned to prime the land. The power, The fury, the roiling energy held within the purple grey mass, it mirrored the feelings within him. However, this confidence would falter as his downfall came to be.
Education
Runt can Read Draconic and some Common, but has very little what would be understood as “Formal” education. His knowledge more lies in the physical world.
Failures & Embarrassments
The Clans of the Western Wastes are held together by a myriad of ancient traditions, from how to greet guests to how to settle land disputes, but by far the most revered tradition is that of the Stone Tower Games. Clans of every walk of life make a pilgrimage to a neutral arena housed in the Ruins of an ancient Elven Temple. Viewed as a way of settling differences and reminding others of the weight behind the ancient traditions, the Games require a contingent of young adults of a given age to attend and compete in trials of strength, speed, and wit. At the tender age of 19 Runt found himself drafted for the games. The Tribe had many strong and capible contenders, but games required the sons of chiefians to compete. The Thunder Rock Clan had tried in vain to keep Runt from competing, but the dishonor of refusing to go would be almost as bad as losing. So Runt, with the honor and standing of his Clan on his back, made the trek to Stone Tower, and competed in the games. Very few know what happened afterward, some claim that the young Dragonborn ran off to avoid the shame, others that his Clan killed him to avoid further dishonor, but all anyone knows is that from then on the Thunder Rock Clan claimed that the Chief had no son.
Mental Trauma
Dishonored and Exiled, Runt is still trying to fully process what had happened to him. He truly believes that if he can complete the labors set out before him that he can redeem himself and return home. He is unfamiliar with the Eastern lands, and is crushingly alone. He may often try to use bargaining and denial to cope with problems.

Lawful Neutral
Circumstances of Birth
The Child of Chief Kazan the Mighty, Runt was expected to be nothing short of a hulking behemoth. The child that came out of the egg was not so. He was expected to die a child, but, as he would grow to be known for, he refused to die.
