Grand Opening Preparation

PHASES OF GAMEPLAY   As I mentioned before, the night will be divided into two phases: The "Dinner Rush" and the "Night Shift". The "Dinner Rush" ends at ~ 9-10p, and the "Night Shift" starts immediately after that. I expect to abstract out the Lunch Rush for time management reasons (already lots of gaming to do!) I also include a list of "unknowns" at the end - threads where you don't know what to expect.   NECESSARY REVENUE   The tax bill is 414g and 6c. You'll want more than that, though, as you will need additional coin to purchase provisions for your tavern after the Grand Opening. I'd venture that you should want 600-700g total by night's end. Right now you have ~ 180g across everyone.   MAXIMUM REVENUE Maximum Revenue from food (If you sell everything at your set rates. This will ultimately depend on a series of rolls, and may do worse. It's tough to do better since you have limited stock and can't sell more ale than you have on hand).
  • 120g on ale (incl. the shitty ale)
  • 180g on wine
  • 340g on food
  • GRAND TOTAL: 640g
You have other revenue streams as well: companions, fighting pit, dream den.   HIRELINGS   My recollection of hirelings is:
  • Kitchen: 1 skilled, 3 unskilled. + Anakami. [4 in the prep, 4 during dinner rush, 0 during night shift]
  • Buffet: 1 skilled, 1 unskilled [but none of the pcs explicitly, so mainly Ros]
  • Dining Room: 1 skilled, 2 unskilled [but none of the pcs explicitly, so mainly Ros]
  • Bar: 1 skilled (+ Bert, I think?). [1 during prep, 2 people during dinner rush, 3 during night shift]
  • Guard Duty: 4 Shield (+ who?)
EXPECTED OCCURRENCES & ROLES The Prep ...

  • Bouncers (off duty shield) to show up around 4p

  EXPECTED, BUT ARRIVAL UNKNOWN
  • Cutter the thief, the priest of Mask, and some friends are to come by
  • Niyan, the printer, and some friends are to come by
  UNKNOWNS
  • The Shadow Blades really want your property and don't want you to be able to pay taxes ...
  • Sondron, the piece of shit lawyer, may have some shenanigans to throw a wrench in your plans
  • The three gang members (the older man, a hobgoblin, and Top, the halfling) don't seem to listen to her and may try something on their own
  • Hshht, the Shadow Blade assassin, was hiding in plain sight, and has now disappeared. Will Hshht resurface?
  • The tenant was insistent that you not hold your grand opening that night ...
  • Nian Borowal, the excellent lawyer, left town suddenly
  • An invisible figure accosted Ros insisting that you push back your grand opening. Is it related?
  • Will any more priests come by for last-minute (and maybe high-cost) blessings?
  • The Lifewardens could not close the case on reports of necromancy, so may return ...
  • There is a lot of buzz around the dockworkers who are looking for the "cheapest ale in the Caldera", and you're expecting them to be rowdy. But no word as to when they will start to arrive ...
  • Who else will come out of the woodwork and will it be for good or for bad ???
