Dwarven Higher Rail

When large quantities of iron ore were found north of the Dragonborn halls, Thrane's land and the Dwarven Steelworks company quickly sent miners down south and established long trade routes. With the Dwarven Science-magic team quickly at work, they developed a system of carts suspended in almost a train system along rains. This would hang in the air and its height would allow it to rotate into certain positions.
It was designed to be impenetrable but a group of thieves and adventurers quickly teleported in and out with anyone knowing and left soon after.
This mode of transport is used for cargo but high paying buyers use it for stylish travel.

Power Generation

A part magical part clockwork box sits at the back of the train. Steam is used to begin turning the clockwork gears but then the magic part takes over and then reaches its full speed.

Propulsion

The in total fourteen Rail cars sit seven on either side of the rail and has wheels that are used only to keep the Higher rail in line but the majority of its propulsion comes from the Magic clockwork in the center forcing the train forward.

Weapons & Armament

Two large cannons can fire either backwards or on top of the Higher rail system.

Armor and defense

It has thick steel outer layer that can be electrified at any time. Only moltern iron could cut through the outer shell and the only entrance in underneath the cart, 20 meters up and traveling at 98mph.

Communication Tools & Systems

A stone of sending sits in the cockpit, ready for use and can be activated remotely.

Hangars & docked vessels

When coming into dock the Rail System will turn from its horizontal position and allow to be entered from the bottom that is now the side. The handling crew wear gloves of levitation to easily lift crates and boxes.
