Arkan

The story of Arkan and its creation, the tale of a world more dangerous than most can imagine. It’s thrice the size of your Earth, almost ten-times more populated and the beasts are normally massive, insects included. Its people can be just as vicious, tamed by the unforgiving nature of these lands and as such can be cold and heartless. Its oceans are vast and deeper than hell itself, and its mountains stand so high that most can only wish to climb them—and those who have rarely survived. Arkan is my home, but it is a lie to say it is paradise. Death lies in almost every corner—nearly unexpected in a world filled with such beauty. As you humans have a saying, “Mother Earth is deadly.” I could say, "Arkan is like a beautiful but lethal courtesan, her bare-form laid before you most invitingly and utterly provocative; and if you treat her just right, she’ll treat you to joys that seem otherworldly. Treat her unjustly, or simply underestimate her, and you may not survive another night.”
