Aftara

When the Empress dies:

• Aftara is in a steady trade agreement with Solassia
• Mixed ethnic groupings in Solassia and Aftara
• Aftara is has the most skilled navy

Queen's new strategy:

• Capture the heir to the Empire and use her as leverage to gain more power in the Empire
• Offer Solassia aid against the growing darkness IF Solassia agrees to increase Aftara's land trading rights/territory lines and give them more political power within the empire

Mataisa

When the Empress dies:

• Mataisa has just finished an embargo with Solassia
• Mataisa is fairly remote and has access to resources like iron and steel; however, they depend upon the other countries for many other resources (primarily fresh food)
• They have the best access to military weapons development

Queen's new strategy:

• Capture the heir to use as leverage to completely disconnect from the Empire and be their own independent nation
• However, they are dependent on Solassia for food imports, so they need to keep a relationship; somehow need to convince the Empire they would be better on their own
• Is not above using their military might to conquer neighboring territory, but wants to do so in their own name

Zozaia

When the Empress dies:

• Zozaia is fairly distant from the seat of the Empire, although the Empire holds political control
• Empire representatives in the Zozai court go "missing" or are killed
• Zozaia wants more territory in the East; they are closest to the ancestral, cultural roots of the continent's shared mythology and have the greatest access to spiritual magic

Queen's new strategy:

• With their ties to Umbralta and shadow magic, they ally with the heir in an effort to destroy the Empire of Light
• A deep desire to restore the cultural integrity of the continent/countries which the Empire has destroyed
• Want more territory and more access to resources

Solassia

When the Empress dies:

• The seat of power is destroyed
• The Empress's sister seizes military and political control
• High Priestess of Solassia seizes religious control

Queen's new strategy:

• The Empress's sister's main goal is to find Orithia, the rebel heir, and restore her to power. She is paranoid about Galatea's schemes to take over the Empire
• The High Priestess Galatea is working against the Solassi government from the inside, sowing discord and doubt among the ruling powers to make a pathway for her forces to take over the Empire
• The HP has an alliance with Aftara to place them as the second in power for the new Empire
