Beauty Ideals
The Zozai value strength, endurance, and agility, and thus idealize those who display these qualities. In the heat of the jungle, the Zozai adorn themselves in beautifully woven attire that is form-fitted and usually sleeveless to display athletic bodies. The sign of beauty most revered in women is their intellect, and thus head and neck adornments are often emphasized, whilst men are most praised for their physical abilities and deference to their female partners.
Gender Ideals
Women are most often praised for their intellect and agility, and thus are trained as elite warriors, top scientists, scholars, and educators. Men are culturally obligated to show deference to their female counterparts and most often become priests, fellow warriors, laborers, and homemakers.
As for people who identify on the gender non-binary scale, they are seen as blessings from the goddess as a "bridge between genders" and are treated as reverently as women are, and are often employed as advisors or strategists.
Relationship Ideals
Zozai relationships are strictly matriarchal and monogamous in nature, valuing monogamous relationships where women are the providers of the family while men are the caretakers of the household and children. To take one lover is seen as establishing the fruitful foundation for a prosperous family, and in religious circles is seen as the discovery of one's singular "soul mate."
