The Terror of the Blackbog
The Blackbog's swamps hide many secrets
Rasmus Kogsteider
Since the accident, something has been calling Rasmus to the South - over the bridge, passed Anvil and East to Crowslook. The dream feels like a compass in his mind, and this somewhat unremarkable town is a broken cog. Something here is out of alignment, grinding against the rest of the world, and he can't get the feeling that it is his purpose to set it back into harmonious motion.Saelkaen
Previously in the employ of the Speakers of Ioun to help guard and explore the Azure Peak Labyrinth, Saelkaen has decided to leave his old post and follow Kog on his adventure since the accident.Tolaris Ashtai
Ashtai is sometimes cryptic when he speaks, but this was not one of those times. 'Go to Crowslook and stop the many who are one' rang the voice in Tolaris' head, the surety of Ashtai's purpose lifting his spirit and driving his over the long trek from Silvertide.Hayden Greatheart
Looking to prove his mettle on the road Hayden is escorting Tolaris along the journey from Silvertide to Crowslook. Far from the protection of the Academy's classes and his family's money, Hayden is eager to earn his way as a sellsword and happy to have a partner with such a driven purpose. The Road to Crowslook
The last day of the trek from Wheatsheaf to Crowslook is a dreary one. A light rain, overcast skies and muddy roads all contribute to the drudgery, though having companionship since the inn house in Barksbrook has lightened the journey some. The constant optimism of Morrin, a Veridian Trading Company messenger, is starting to become somewhat wearying on the ears of our party though.I'll tell you what, I do so love this job, even when you've got a bit of a grumpy day like today it's so wonderful to be able to get out and just meet people, you know? I get to travel all over the Icehorn, meet all sorts of people, and eat all manner of fancy foods! The misses says I'd probably bring more coin home if I spent less of it in on the road, but you know how it is. If you don't enjoy your work, what's the point of doing it? Anyway, I've probably nattered enough about myself, what's your stories?- Morrin Whispermouse, Veridian Trading Company messenger
Crowslook
Even through the drizzle the scents of Crowslook greet you before the sight of it - the damp, slightly sweet smell of the Blackbog mixing with the salt of the sea, fish and the sulfuric smells of the alchemy market. As it comes into view the wooden building-tops of the town come into view over the low brick wall, the dark brown spruce wood of the Blackbog dominating the architecture. The town gate lies open, the second floor of the guard house jutting over the top, with two fairly bored looking town guards standing watch at the gatesides.Zelrila
Trying to track down a set of street kids from Silvertide has brought Zelrila to Crowslook. From what she has learned in her time in the town, the children have been taken in by foragers and are working in the Blackbog.
