Not many really know what or who they are but both baharuth and the union deploy them regularly to snuff out dangerous magicians. Furthermore almost every batallion of Soldies has a dedicated Mage Hunter to prevent or at least delay a wipeout through powerful magic.
The mysteries surrounding them are numerous and no one really knows the extent or the source of their powers, It is only known that they adorn Blue Robes with a Silver Badge on their chest indicating their profession, and every spelcaster is advised to avoid them at all Costs.
