Halflings

While their small stature generally keeps halflings out of the spotlight in human settlements, the small folk have nevertheless found a niche for themselves and play an important role in most societies. Halflings often make excellent thieves, or some of the most shrewd traders on the surface of Arkos. Alongside Humans, they hold the position of the most populous race on Western Arkos.
Halflings are also a remarkably adaptable race. Their physical characteristics can change to fit their surroundings. This ability is linked to their social environment; over time they take on the features of the races they predominantly spend time around. Needless to say, halflings spend a lot of thought on where -and more importantly; with whom they spend their spend their time.
