Sphongos

Located in the Crescentian Underdark, Sphongos is a Myconid village near the entrance to The Silver City. Its leader, Sovereign Morchello, is old enough to remember the founding of the city by Alathar Balefrost.
While the Myconids do not speak a verbal language, they communicate through telepathically through spores circulating the air of the village that link living beings to their hivemind. While all are welcome in the village, they recommend that surface-dwellers do not stay more than a few days, lest they become permanently linked to the spore hivemind.
