Created by the remaining Ancients after the sundering of the realms that was known as the Cataclysm, the Barrier of Providence acts as a divine gateway. It is an esoteric, non-Euclidean structure that serves a barrier between the mortal realm and everthing else. It prevents the Ancients and other entities, both benevolent and insidious, from directly interfering and influencing the Mortal Realm. Many scholars believe that the formation of the barrier severely weakened that remaining ancients, as it was from their power it was created.
