The Purse

The Purse is the name given to the massive thieves guild that has connections and a presence all over Western Arkos. The Purse provides guidance, safety, and work for those less fortunate; particularly those who have deft fingers and aren't afraid to get their hands dirty.
Almost all of Western Arkos' governments are aware of the Purses' existence and activities in their countries, but most choose to ignore or not heavily pursue the guild as it proves to be in their best interest. As the Purse often reminds people, a healthy amount of gold can make all the difference in the world.
The Purse has no single leader; instead, each regional chapter is led by an experienced thief referred to as a 'Shadow.' Members of the Purse are often known to be as close as a family with many other members of their chapter; though the guild still has strict rules that must be adhered to: A guild member cannot harm a fellow member in any way; and killing is strictly prohibited.
The Purse, while primarily known for stealing valuables, also specializes in the acquisition and trade of information, as the contents of a man's letters usually out values the contents of his purse...
