SHAULEN (shau-len)

Shaulen is the capital city of the Sarton Kingdom, where the Sarton government meets daily in the Sarton Court. Shaulen is the seat of power of the Sarton Kingdom, the symbol of the power held by the nation. The capital city is rivaled by the splendor found in the Sarton Magi city of Wiegas. And actually matched by the city of Tsak, capital of the Pharas Tribe.

Defences

The Sarton Honor Guard, a large attachment of elite Sarton military, acts as the defense force for the capital city. They are charged with the protection of the denizens of Shaulen, and the Sarton Royal family. The Sarton Honor Guard are found in all the defense buildings & towers of the city.
Shaulen is surrounded by a massive wall that reaches up to 30 feet high, connected by defense towers. These towers houses large detachments of the Sarton Honor Guard who are assigned to them, called the Sarton Tower Guard. A large moat encircles most of the city, with small land gaps in-between.

Points of interest

• Royal Residence: where the Sarton Royal family resides while in the city
• Sarton Court Palace: where the Sarton government holds its court
• Catacombs: this area holds the storehouses of Shaulen, containing food & supplies that can last years in case of famine, invasion from foreign powers, or a major disaster.
• Embassies: home to the ambassadors from other nations/tribes. Ambassadors from the Pharas Tribe are found here.
• Grand Combat Arena: an architectural marvel that was built over 100 years ago. The arena is built as a massive cube with terraced gardens on the exterior of the building, leading to people calling it a “green jewel occupied by fearsome fighters.”
