WORLDEMBER PLEDGE 2024

Hello everyone!
WorldEmber is literally around the corner and its kinda hard to believe how time flies these days. I'll be preparing for WorldEmber as always by mentally preparing myself to focus on a LOT of worldbuilding, planning out what parts of my world I shall focus on. This year's WorldEmber will be much more different for me than before. Why? I shall explain below the pledge.

Going Above & Beyond

There are two things that I plan on accomplishing during WorldEmber 2024: world expansion and creating beyond 10,000 words worth of worldbuilding. When I first joined WorldAnvil in March of 2021, I was still learning everything about it. I participated in WorldEmber 2021 and I managed to get 10,000 words in the final days of that year. Despite this, I was not fully pleased with myself. I knew that I could do better. I would do better. Especially given how creative I am. So I took the years 2022-2023 to push myself for do more, and create more on WA. I already spend countless hours literally writing out entire ideas on outrageous amounts of paper many years before I even heard of WorldAnvil (and I mean vast amounts of paper & midnight oil burning). How is it that I didn't achieve beyond the baseline? I wouldn't settle for anything else. This year I already achieved Diamond for SummerCamp 2024 as I was determine to get that done no matter what. I plan to accomplish beyond creating 10,000 words of content for this year's WorldEmber.

My Ace-In-The-Hole

The second goal I have for WorldEmber 2024 simply is world expansion, adding to my original world of Arktoria content that I have not released before. Oh yes. You read that right. As I hinted at eariler, I have many years worth of original content that I have worked on and refined for a long time. And the crazy part? The content on Arktoria now is not even apart of it. The content I have created & posted here in "Lavantia" is actually content that is far more recent. The other parts of my world I have worked on since middle school. Worked on, made updates, and constantly refined. I have kept them in a special binder & a Scrivener document that I now plan on using for WorldEmber 2024.

And they easily go far beyond 10,000 words. I do have a limit on how much I plan on posting regarding my unpublished content, but don't worry you'll get to see them as I post them. To give you an idea of where to find them, keep an eye on the "Covenant Dawn" half of my world daily. Especially when WorldEmber starts.
