The leader of the Qualin Lútë was trained to be a black bishop by Lirian himself. When he was a child he took part in the Second Ember Crusade, fighting in the battle of Lobbon's Bridge. He was captured and sent to a deprogramming center, where he stayed for months. Eventually he managed to escape, slaughtering most of the staff there. When he returned to Lirian he was stripped of his rank as punishment for being captured and ordered to kill himself as proof of devtion to the new gods. Before his capture Vildum would have done it no questions asked, it is what is expected of all black bishops, but after? Niggling doubts appeared in Vildums mind, instead Vildum turned his knife on Lirian. The fight was as fierce as it was short, in a matter of seconds Lirian had easily bested Vildum who bearly managed to escape with his life. He was out in the streets, streets he once called home, surrounded by enemies, he needed an out. Vildum found his way out when Nuada and the rest of the Cabal arrived. Vildum was the one who showed Nuada the secret passage that allowed him to get access to and ultimatly kill Lirian. As reward for his deed the Cabal booked Vildum passage out of the Imperium abord a cabal assossiated pirate ship headed to Embarial. He would travel with them for five years, exploring and seeing the world outside the imperium for the first time. Eventually that crew was hunted down by the Gladian Navy, leveraging his role in the death of Lirian he alone was spared. He was taken back to Gladios and soon found himself pressed into service on a slave ship. After fifty long years of service Vildum had finnaly found enough allies to make an escape. The morning of the escape Vildum made sure to drop a bucket of coal dust on the deck of the ship, earning him a few lashings. Under the cover of night Vildum and his crew managed to break out of the brig and storm the boat they set fire to the deck, already covered in coal dust from ealier that day, and dove into the freezing waters. Vildum washed up on shore a week later, near death and freezing. He would be nursed back to health by a human farmers daughter from Doylin, who he would end up marrying. They enjoyed thirty some years together before she passed away in child birth. Stricken with greif Vildum abandoned his son moving to the grass sea where he fell in with a group of wandering elves. It is there that he picked up his distinctive Torna steel katanas. He would stay with the group until he caught wind of a new elf nation being formed. Together with his tribe of elves Vildum set off for the capital city of Tar Aranie, Co'whain Malhalva. In Co'whain Malhalva Vildum found oppurtunity he joined the Tar Aranie navy and began quickly climbing the ranks. Over the next 100 years Vildum would go from petty officer to commodor, which is incredibly fast for an elf. However what took 100 years to build up would later be destroyed in 1 day. In 776 A.M. it was revealed that Vildum's son who had taken the name Silfeld was part of the Tog-Maruun resistance movment. Vildum would watch as his son, the boy he abandoned, was executed, and somewhere deep down, he was devistated. In the courts Vildum's name was in the mouths of the nobility who called him spy. As for Vildum himself, he had grown dissolusioned with the Leauge and even Tar Aranie itself. "More of the same," he thought, "just another group looking to use and exploit me." The whispers and gossip of the court did more than just affect his repuation, in 777 A.M. instead of being asked to join the armada headed for Tolund he was sent to examine the now receading "red lung" outbreak. While in Xi Pan Vildum was able to meet "Flying" Flynn one year before his passing, it was him that convinced Vildum that a return to the pirates life might be for him and in Del'Orta he might be able to truly build something.
