Halfbeard Farmtown

History

A small farm town of around seven hundred people, Halfbeards Farmtown was the first farm town built in the Beuw area. It was built in the second age by decree of the Giant Storm King Beuw. The town is over two thousand and five hundred years old. The people who live in the town are of either the Halfbeard dwarf family, the lord of the town's family, or they work for either of those families. The town has a few fields of barley or corn, most of the farming that goes on in the town is grape vineyards. Halfbeards Farmtown has been known for producing some of the best wines and whiskeys since they first released bottles in the year two thousand and fifty. The farms of the town have been owned by the Halfbeard family since the towns creation and the families former leader is the reason for the town's name. Orgret Halfbeard the first of his name was a skilled farm manager in the town of Beuw during the start of the second age. The story goes he was contacted by the Blue Dwarf lord Marius Louisblue the second, as Marius needed help starting the first a farm town in the Beuw area. Knowing Orgret Halfbeard was one of the best farm Managers in the area, Marius approached Orgret for help first. Orgret agreed only if the town was to be named after his family. At first Marius Louisblue refused Orgret, only to find the other best farm managers were to fearful to leave the safety of the Town of Beuw. The other managers claimed it was to dangerous as the town was going to be built close to the Devil's Beaches. Orgret did not worry the same, he saw opportunity. With no other choice Marius Louisblue accepted Orgret Halfbeards offer and the first farm town was named after the Halfbeard family. Today Ornet Halfbeard is the head of the family and runs all the Farms owned by Halfbeard family. This not only includes all the Farmland in Halfbeard Farmtown but also most of the farms in Nearwoods Farmtown and NearFrayn Farmtown. The family also still has farmland in the Town of Beuw, each piece of farmland is run by a different member of the Halfbeard family. This means for the Halfbeard Farms, there is Halfbeard dwarves all over the Town. The Current Farm Manager for Halfbeard Farm is William Halfbeard, he is Ornets grandsons. Other important Halfbeard dwarves of Halfbeard Farmtown are Wilbert Halfbeard who is Williams brother and he runs the guard of the town. The second most important Halfbeard in the family is Orlean Halfbeard, she is Ornets younger sister and runs the wine production of the Halfbeard Farmtown.

Lord Maristius Louisblue

When Lord Marstin Louisblue died in the year forty five and nine his son became lord of Halfbeard Farmtown. Now Maristius has been Lord of Halfbeard Farmtown for over one hundred and fifty years. Like his father he grew up in the penthouse of the Halfbeard Resort and like his father Maristius Louisblue is hardly seen outside of the Halfbeard Resort Penthouse apartment. Maristius is a fat and glutton fueled man, his only cares are his children and his next meal. His love for wine and cheese is said to be incomparable and he is told to drink more wine in a day then three soldiers could drink in a week. Maristius leaves the leading of the Farmtown to the Halfbeard family as did his father. "After all they are named after the town, not the Louisblue family." Is a common saying from the Lord's family and himself. He is known to just sign what the Halfbeard family requires of him. Maristius Louisblue has two sons, Miorus and Matistor both of whom are currently missing after going on an adventure. They followed a map they won in a betting game and disappeared into the Luin Range, they haven't been seen for sixty years.

The Halfbeard Resort

Built in the year three thousand the Halfbeard Resort is a premier destination for the wealthy and Noble of Armeylose. One of the only hotels in the world, the Halfbeard Resort is a fifteen floor building and each floor is eight thousand and one hundred square feet the first floor consists of a reception area and tavern in the front half and a ballroom in the back half. The ball room is four thousand and fifty square feet, while the reception area and tavern are both two thousand and twenty five square feet. The head manager of the resort is Patricia Halfluin she is the youngest sister of Ornet Halfbeard. She works closely with he husband Howard Halfluin, Howard is a Blue Dwarf who left his family the Luinminds to marry Patricia. Together their seven children help run the resort in different ways. Ornet Halfluin is head of security and Bedard Halfluin is reception manager while Patricia and Howards only daughter runs the Kitchen. Patty Halfluin is thought to be one of the best chefs in Armeylose and her techniques and dishes have been replicated across Armeylose. She is the auther of the Royal Inns Base menu and while she has been the head of kitchen for the Halfbeard Resort the resort has seen more guests each year. The Kitchen and restaurant of the resort take up the entire second floor and can seat one hundred and forty four guests. The hotel has fifty seven rooms. The first four floors of rooms each has six rooms, each room is twelve hundred square feet. The next eight floors of rooms has four rooms each, they are all eightteen hundred square feet. In the middle of the third to fourteenth floor there is a ten foot wide hall way that goes from from one end of the building to the other. At the each end of the hallway there is a magical elevator that Connects all the floors together. There is an entrance to both the elevators from the tavern and reception area on the first floor. The elevator is activated threw guest and employee key stones and only certain stones can access certain floors and rooms. The elevator also opens from three sides on the first floor it opens both left and right to access the tavern and reception area. And on the rest of the floors it opens hallways or the Restaurant on the second floor. The top floor is a penthouse apartment and is the full eight thousand and one hundred square feet, the lord of the town and his close family live in the penthouse. The resort is best known for holding weddings and also for hosting lavish tasting nights where the attendance sample expensive barrels of Halfbeard wine and whiskey while enjoying appetizers that complement the drinks. Over the tasting nights these barrels will be bid on by the attendance and the highest bid will have the barrels shipped to wherever they require. It is common for lord and barons to of the Beuw area to attend these nights to buy barrels for their personal storage. Along with at ever tasting night there is a procurement agent for the Royal Inn. There is always a procurement Agent living at the Halfbeard Resort, there as been since the Royal Inn line of Luxury Inns opened. This agent spends his time at Halfbeard Farmtown getting to know the high ups of the Halfbeard family and attempts to help them in any means needed. These agents have a large budget and often will help pay for different things for the managers of the resort and farms to keep their good will. It is the agents job to acquire large amounts of high-quality alcohol from their assigned distributor. For the agent at Halfbeards Farmtown this means attend ing every tasting night. The current procurement agent is an Elf named Osborline Wineleaf, he has been at the Halfbeard Resort for almost five hundred years.
