Jean-Baptiste's Gator Raiders
Comprised of backwoods bumpkins, they are notoriously violent raiders and slave takers. Especially dimwitted, they can be very threatening in large groups. Well-armed but very poorly armoured, they prey on the fishing villages at the edge of the GalanFang Moore. Often wielding nets and shackles, they are ruthless slavers. With constant in-fighting, their leadership rarely survives long enough to coordinate them into a serious threat to the surrounding counties. They speak a guttural dialect of common and are surprisingly renowned for their cuisine. Clad in greasy overalls and rusted cast iron plating, they are often seen wading barefoot through the swampy GalanFang Moore.
Jean-Baptiste their notorious leader is a tall, overweight, scraggly-looking man with a thick greasy beard. He wields an arcane infused saber, and tall leather boots that nearly reach his knees. Snares and shackles hang from his belt, with a gold-plated buckle. hoisting a large leather scabbard with a master-crafted pistol.
Jean's second in command is a gruff-looking human named Nicolas LeClare. He is a short stocky figure, wearing a large leather coat filled with tears and burn holes. He hoists a long-handled Morningstar, covered in hand-carved inscriptions. His exposed flesh is heavily tattooed with tribal artwork that looks very crude.
The Gator Raiders have very few leadership positions as the gang is constantly at odds with one another, and anyone brave enough to attempt to take charge and start issuing orders in battle is met with swift mutiny. Only Jean-Baptiste is fierce enough to hold the band together by ruling with an iron fist. The gang's hideout is where their hoarded stash of stolen valuables is kept. Among their most prized trophies is a golden framed, red velvet upholstered, high-backed throne chair, that when seated upon projects the user's voice through magical enchantment. They also revere an imbued spyglass that, when looked through has the ability to see through walls and barriers, commonly used to inspect which merchant ships were concealing valued treasures.
