Draconius (Draw • KOHN • uhs)

Draconi are a subspecies of Dracone (or Dragon), they have a pair of wings, a pair of front arms, and a long torso ending in a tail. The Draconi, although not the wisest or most intelligent species, are the number one most powerful species to exist.   All Dracone subspecies originated from the Eldrians, a majestic and ancient species that roamed the realms.

Basic Information

Biological Traits

Because of Draconi's interesting language, they are more intune and sensitive to the mind. This causes the Draconi to have more mental-related abilities such as...
  • Telepathy (Language / Innate)
  • Language Translator (Innate)
  • Hypnosis
  • Mind Control
  • Puppetry
  • Illusion
  • Dream Manipulation
  • Empathy
  • Emotion Manipulation
  • Memory Manipulation
  • Precognition
  • Telekinesis
  • Psychometry

Additional Information

Average Intelligence

An intelligent species on par with the Armonesíans of Armonía, yet not quite as intelligent as the Kitsune and Azra Kesari. Could be compared with the Dykumic scholars of Dykuma.

Civilization and Culture

Major Language Groups and Dialects

The Draconi do not use a spoken language to communicate, instead, they use a form of telepathy that shares their spoken thoughts with others. The Draconi are constantly flying and moving around in the sky, they love flying and take great pride in their ability to fly with their majestic winds. Flying does make it increasingly more difficult to communicate due to high pressure, the sound of the wind, and the proximity of other Draconi. This caused the Dracini to think of a different way to communicate that better suit their environment. Telepathic communication cannot be disrupted by outside noise that would usually interrupt spoken languages. It has an easier comprehension and a higher distance range meaning the Draconi can still hear each other from farther distances. Telepathy also gives the Draconi the ability to speak to and understand other species using telepathy and an innate translator ability.

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions

The Draconi have a partnership agreement of such with the Anvindrians. They will trade knowledge and sometimes play around and befriend each other but have an agreement to basically stay out of each other's ways. Some of the hatchlings of the Draconi become really close friends with younger Anvindrian children.   Draconi can also become bonded beasts, this usually happens when a hatchling and an Anvindrian young become close friends when young and make the decision when older to tie heart strand with each other. A bonded Draconi will live longer, be more intelligent, gain wisdom and knowledge, and become more powerful (in general and in control of ability). The bonded Anvindrian will share a special telepathic bond with their Draconius, receive the Translation ability, become more knowledgable, and become more powerful. The bonded Anvindrian may gain an ability similar to the Draconius', this rarely happens and usually only when the bond is made between a very close and very powerful bonded pair.

I think it's interesting that the psychic ability seemed to be a decision on the part of the dacone, rather than merely an evolutionary development. I'm curious to know more about how that happened.   I like the relationship with they have with the Avindirans.   I know it's Summer Camp, and you can't fix it right away, but I noticed a possible typo: "Telepathy also gives the Draconi also have the ability to speak to and understand other species using telepathy and an innate translator ability." You use also twice. It looks like you re-wrote the sentence, but didn't fully delete the old one (I do that all the time!)
