The Oath of the Eternal Conflict is a condition that is gained for those that have been marked for death by a divine act. Those that receive the mark gain it through pledging their oath to Wania, God of War. The condition is fatal and if the oath that is sworn is not followed, the fatality comes immediately. The mark shows all that understand the condition that they have been drafted into an army of warriors who will fight in the Eternal Conflict in death.

Oath of the Eternal Conflict does not transmit from person to person. It can only be contracted through a divine ritual and involves a heavy amount of radiant magic.

Causes

There is no obvious beginning, middle or end of the condition. Once the ritual has taken place, a mark appears in the middle of the infected's chest in the shape of a sword crossed with an axe in what looks like a bright red burn marl. It gives no pain and no obvious sign of problems.

Symptoms

There are no symptoms that are obvious with this condition other than the mark that is found on the chest. However, it is well known that if a person does have this mark, they must follow the oath of Wania or face instant death.

Gaining the Oath of the Eternal Conflict is seen as a major feat amongst many warriors and is well respected. Though Wania does not have an obvious temper, he is known to cause wars out of boredom. Those that have this condition are pledged to fight in any war he deems once they have died. He can kill them at any moment with his mark to be drafted into the Eternal Conflict within his realm.
