Messenger's Guild

Although many people have the ability to send messages instantaneously to anyone in the world, there are those who lack the skills or materials necessary to do so. Additionally, there is only so much you can do with a verbal message, for some want to send materials or gifts to business partners and loved ones. For these people, the Messenger's Guild exists.   There are many different services that the Messenger's Guild provides, but they primarily provide transportation for packages to just about anywhere in Arratha. For most of their customers, they have messengers who are able to traverse the lands, hand-delivering the package to the recipient. These messengers are trained in different ways, and can carry different types and sizes of packages, depending on their skill set. All of them are able to consistently go from one place to another with their package safely, though there are always bound to be issues while travelling the roads of Arratha.   For customers with the additional coin to spare, the Messenger's Guild also offers instant transport, using a variation on the Teleportation Spell that allows them to quickly transport items from one of their offices to another, allowing for pickup or delivery from that location.   The Messenger's Guild also values their customers' privacy, so their couriers avoid using public Teleportation Circles, so they do not have to reveal the contents of their package to law enforcement. They also typically do not ask the contents of the package themselves, so that they can remain non culpable to any situation that may arise because of its delivery or loss.

Messengers

Some of the members of the Messenger's Guild come to them trained for another profession, after deciding that that career wasn't for them. Others are trained specially by the Messenger's Guild to fill whatever position is needed. Each Guild Office is typically staffed with some combination of the different types of messengers that they train.
Fleetfoots
Fleetfoots are trained specifically to travel from one place to another as fast as possible. They run from danger as soon as it arises, and are able to slip in and out of crowds as necessary. They travel light, and as such, cannot carry very large packages, and can typically only take one at a time.   Fleetfoots are typically trained by the Guild, but there have been a few members of the Guild who left the Umbra's Shadow to find a more reputable line of work. As such, these members hardly ever admit that they were a part of the Thieves' Guild, though it is clear from their level of skill that they were.
Surefoots
Surefoots take a bit of time before leaving with their packages to plot the best possible route to their destination. Surefoots often have more connections than the other members of the Guild, and are sometimes able to take shortcuts with Teleportation Circles of other organizations, allowing them to get to their destination safely, and without revealing the contents of their package to others. They are not generally the best choice for those who want the contents of their package to remain a secret, however, because even private Teleportation Circles could be inspected, and anyone travelling with those could be searched.
Strongfoots
Strongfoots are often couriers because of their thirst for adventure, and sometimes of battle. Because of this, instead of running away from conflicts that might arise while they transport items like the Fleetfoots, they will typically join the fray. They never intentionally put their packages at risk, but there is always a chance that packages could be delayed or destroyed en route. However, because of the strength that these messengers have, in addition to the extra baggage they are willing to carry, Strongfoots can carry much larger packages, and sometimes several packages, unlike Fleetfoots.
Shopfoots
Shopfoots are the type of messenger that is typically trained by the Messenger's Guild. They will travel as a merchant, selling various products en route to their destination. They keep packages safe by either hiding them among their wares, or in secret compartments within their carts. Shopfoots will sometimes travel in pairs or small groups, and customers can hire Strongfoots to accompany a Shopfoot if they so choose, to provide extra protection from anyone who might try to steal from a travelling merchant.
