Week 1: The History of Arratha

I will be working on adding more details to the history of Arratha, specifically adding details to who the major players were, and what they did to aid (or hinder) in the creation of Arratha as it exists today. I have the names of some of the important people, and some basic ideas of what they did, and their personalities, but I want to add more detail so that I can build on that foundation for what is to come in the world.

Week 2: The Meta

Scope

This affects everything in the world, though it will not affect how things work in the world now. The natural laws of the world will stay the same (though some small details may change based on how the I want the history to take place), but the way different organizations behave, and what is important to them, may change.

Mood

The History of Arratha begins very hopefully. There are few issues in the world, as people begin to understand the extent of what magic can do. There is also a sense of wonder, as new powers and abilities are discovered and uses found. However, things turn tense as Ordon Luxford and others begin to plant seeds of rebellion in their friends and allies, thinking that they are superior to those without magic, or those who put their reliance in the Natural order instead of the Arcane.

Drama

Ordon Luxford begins the drama that turns from the norm of wonder and helpfulness in the world, however, he is not the one who truly thought that the world should change. That is a figure who has remained largely in the shadows of history, and who may make a reappearance in present day, hoping once again to gain power.

Week 3

I'm working on improving the homepage for my world by adding the house rules for the campaign, as well as basic info on character creation. Once I finish adding these details, I'll also get rid of the "Welcome to World Anvil" article, as I'll have a good handle on how to maneuver around the site and add to/edit the world.
Once I have that good, solid foundation, I'm excited to share it with my players so they can have a place for all the information they have on the world, and a place I can give them more ideas on what their characters would know.

Week 4

I'm excited to get started writing more about the history of my world. I also have the perfect time to be writing most weekdays, since the sport I was coaching just finished the season, so I'll be able to take time at the end of every day to sit down and make write for at least a little while. I might make a ritual of making myself a cup of tea every day so I can get into a good headspace.
