Kiraad'duvuun

Overview

This is the capital of dwarven culture and civilization in Vesnya. The great city of Ekkag'varum, or the City of Great Halls, and the City of Final Duels, is known for its wide gathering places, diverse travelers, and ability to find almost anything mined underground here in this city.

Ruled by the Brightforger Clan for many generations, this city takes pride in the rulers. The city is vast with its ability for dwarves to make dealings, fight, drink, duel, and settle disagreements. Also known as the City of Final Duels, this is where if two dwarves, whether Fighting Barons or commoners, have a disagreement, if they duel here, the outcome is settled. Dwarves let the past be the past afterwards. "All stones under the mine" as they say.



Districts

Stonehelm District

Home to the ruling clan and government buildings.

Forgefire Ward

The industrial district, filled with forges and blacksmiths, and gem, metal, and stone miners. This is where all goods are bought, sold, and refined which are mined.
Emberheart Tavern
Located in the Forgefire Ward, this tavern caters to weary blacksmiths and laborers with hearty meals.

Axbeard Enclave

The residential area for the esteemed warriors and veterans. Dwarves who have made a name for themselves, or are hoping to make a name, would be found here.

Glimmerglow Heights

The upper-class district with grand mansions and well-maintained underground gardens.
Gilded Anvil Inn
A luxurious tavern in Glimmerglow Heights, where the elite dwarves gather for fine food and drinks.

Dustcrawler Alley

The lower-class area with more modest dwellings.
The Stony Tankard
A lively tavern in the Dustcrawler Alley district, known for its rowdy atmosphere and strong dwarven ale.

Runehammer Row

A district specializing in runic inscriptions, divine temples, and those gifted with magic and magical craftsmanship.

Temple of the Anvil
The central dwarven temple dedicated to the pantheon who the dwarves worship

Stonerune Society
Dwarven mages society. Very elusive organization shrouded in mystery. Many don't even see dwarves entering or leaving the building here.

Crystal Cask Tavern
Found in Runehammer Row, famous for its exquisite gem-themed cocktails and music, and magical acts.

Deepdelve Market

A bustling market district where goods from far-off lands are traded.  
Brightblaze Bazaar
Known for its rare and enchanted gemstones.
Thunderforge Market
A place to find exceptional weapons and armor.
Earthshine Emporium
This emporium has a vast network of shops and shopkeepers which change from day to day. There are a few normal merchants here though selling, alchemical goods and potions, and the finest stonework and sculptures. All regular goods within the city are bought and sold here.  

 

Wand-erful Forge

This magic shop, located in Runehammer Row, offers an assortment of magical items and enchanted goods. Some items dwarves can find include:
Rune-carved amulets that provide elemental resistance. Dust of Disappearance, granting temporary invisibility. Everburning Candles, which emit a bright, never-ending flame. Elemental-infused gemstones that enhance weapons.

Things to do

Inhabitants of the city are vast among the dwarves, coming from every town, mining hall, and mountain known in Ekkag'varum. As such, they bring their traditions, their passtimes, and their hobbies, on any given night you can find one or more of the following activities here.  
Gemstone Wrestling
A popular sport where dwarves compete to carry and place massive gemstones into designated spots.
Dwarven Anvil Duels
Wherever there is an anvil, dwarves can challenge each other to a duel until one is rendered unconscious. This can either be friendly, or to resolve a dispute.
Runic Riddles
Dwarves challenge each other to solve complex rune-based puzzles.
Stonecarving Competitions
Artists showcase their skills in sculpting intricate stone statues.
Forge Festivals
Celebrations of masterful blacksmiths and their finest creations.
Tales by the Hearth
Dwarves gather in taverns for storytelling, recounting heroic deeds and ancient legends.
Underground Race
Dwarves participate in friendly races through the city's underground tunnels.
Mining Contests
Miners compete to find the rarest and most valuable gems.
