Magitborne (ˈma-jēt-bȯrn)

Curiousity does not beget innocence.

A curious race of craftborne, their nature coming from the arcane powers that fuel them thanks to their magitech soul core, their uncanny bodies and masked a failed and misunderstood attempt to make them appear friendlier to their creators' and masters' neighbours that has become iconic to this particular group of constructs.   Physical Description: A magitborne's most notable feature is their porcelain mask, pure white and normally made in the image of a humanoid face meant to make them appear relateable and allow them to emote in ways similar to humanoids, however, the face is not known for complex movements and is rather slow in doing so, working against the intent, despite this, it is still a representation of the magitborne's emotional state and sense of self, and should not be lost or broken. A magitborne's metal body is rather lanky, with joints consisting entirely of ball joints and sockets, and poorly proportioned compared to a real humanoid, their waist and stomach appearing very thin, only about double the spine's width, possess a long neck, and bearing oddly ball jointed hips give the magitborne an odd silhouette that defeats their purpose to blend in. Their blue and silver metal frames only serving to give them an odder appearance in oddly lit areas, such as moonlit wildernesses. All these features surprisingly, make it less noticeable that they only bear four fingers. Though past this they can vary in appearance due to their creator's visual intentions.

Society: Magitborne lack any centralized society as a race naturally dependent on others to increase in numbers and created primarily within a preexisting society, and due to their position commonly start at the bottom of hierarchy due to being of no lineage. However, their innate intellect provides them great success in research roles in society alongside an experimental disposition, and due to their natural inclination for their creators to be mages, they commonly reside within very well off neighborhoods or kingdoms, such as Arcania. Magitborne have a distinctive fear of maskless magitborne, knowing that the mask no longer being on their face but elsewhere is a sign of intense instability and danger.   Relations: Magitborne, as a construct, normally have a child-like curiousity of the world, but also a sinister innocence that makes them disliked by more cautious races such as valif or ratfolk. Their appearance can be seen as very overtly threatening due to their more abstract appearance, they porcelain mask particularly being the greatest problem in relations for other races. Due to their natural healing ability, they've been show to garner some intense independence from their creator.   Alignment and Religion: As a race of constructs crafted with no prior relation or formed opinions, magitborne lack any form of alignment predisposition or preferred organized religion, instead taking after those around them and their creators primarily instead.   Adventurers: Despite their lanky frames, magitborne bear reasonable strength, which with their intellect provides them easily to roles such as magus or other melee inclined arcane casters, though a magitborne's role in a party is odd, due to being able to cause more problems then they solved for any adventuring group, despite this however, magitborne are just as frequently likely to wish to be in one as they would be in arcane research labs.
