City-State of Sakaria (Sah-kah-re-ah)

Squished between the remote plains of the Sythanian horsemen and the Boyarskan Desert, the people of this area survived (and thrived) against increasing threats.   It is said that Sakaria was the last place on the continent where a flying horse (pegasus) to be seen.   According to legend, six centuries ago, the colony of muabin origin was almost abandoned, but Lampa traders arrived and constructed a thriving mercantile economy, before their leader, Jago the golden, on top of a pegasus liberated it from muabin rule and made it independent.   It's current ruler, Basileu, controls a powerful Lampa trading state with strong influences from the northern horsemen tribes of the Sythanians and a nobility who extol the finest qualities of both cultures.   Their warriors fight in Lampa fashion, yet the ferocity of their nomadic past is very much alive, this results in an exotic blend of fighting styles that when woven together give a unique way of fighting. Combining the longspear fighting tradition with the nomadic axe wielders and dancing, the Sakarians dance through the battlefield with their polearms, unleashing death to those under the reach of their weapon. Of course, there are still citizens who prefer the more traditional approach. These individuals either use the spear or the axe as their weapon of choice.   The Sakarians are currently in mutual defense with the Kimerans against a potential invasion from the Violet Empire and have active trade agreements with the Lampa city states of Southern Varsemia.   The Sakars worship the Lampa pantheon.

Main Hub

Sakaria

The city, like most of the inner sea capitals, is on the coastline and serves as an important hub for the trade in the region.

Mixing the Sythanians awe for horsemen and the Lampa strong sense for architecture, the city (and it's region) is known for it's architectural marvel and ample avenues.
