Kingdom of Ponthia (Pon-Thee-Ah)

The kingdom of Ponthia is situated in a mountainous land, tucked away on the Night Sea coast. It's modest appearance and apparently out of the way position should not deceive: it is a strong, Lampian state, ably ruled and with a strong army and navy.   From this mountain home, their aging leader, Mithridis IV, seized control of the province from Muabin rule and reinstated the lampian culture, building routes with the lampian states of South Varsemia.   The result is a state with a mixed (but proud) identity of ambitious individuals who see in their cunning leader and lineage the means to rise up to become a power to be reckoned with.   Mithridis IV also established a stronger militia, giving a wider control for his agents to keep the populace in check. This resulted in a state harder to crack by enemy intelligence.   Using the coastline for trade, they manage to brings goods and wealth from the Southern nations to fund a growing military that while still small, is disciplined and organized.   Their disciplined army is slowly increasing, borrowing both Lampa and Muabin traditions to it, resulting in strong anti-cavalry infantry, well-prepared archers and efficient cavalry.   Though their biggest threat isn't in the battlefield but in their agents. Mithridis IV loves to work in the shadows and his swift agents are a threat that shouldn't be understimated.   The Ponthians worship the Lampa Pantheon.

Main Hub

Synopis

The city of Synopis is situated on the tip of the coastline, serving has an important hub for the trading ships that fuel the wealth of the nation.   Benefiting from the mountainous terrain, the city's palace is higher than the rest of the city, with Mithridis IV being able to see not just the city but it's surroundings with ease. This also makes the city easier to defend against invaders.   The city was built originally with muabin architecture, but since then has fused with lampa to create a landscape unique to the ponthians.
