Description

  Krothar, the Wild Guardian, is revered by those who live in harmony with nature. His worshippers often seek his blessings for successful hunts, bountiful harvests, and victories in battle. As the Lord of Beasts and Foliage, Krothar represents the interconnectedness of all living things and the balance required to sustain life in the wild. His followers strive to embody his teachings, respecting the natural world and defending it against threats. The followers of Krothar find solace and purpose in the untouched wilderness, believing it to be a manifestation of their god's divine presence.   Krothar appears as a colossal figure, his form intertwining with the elements of the wilderness. His hair resembles cascading waterfalls, and his skin takes on the texture of tree bark. His eyes, deep and knowing, hold the wisdom of the ages. He is often depicted with a throwing axe in one hand and a blooming vine in the other, representing his dual domains over war and nature.

Worship and Temples

  Krothar’s temples are often situated deep within ancient forests, where nature is untamed and wild. They are crafted from living trees, seamlessly integrated into the natural surroundings. Worshipers come to these temples to offer thanks for successful hunts, seek guidance in times of war, and perform rituals to ensure the fertility of the land.  

Clergy and Codes of Conduct

  Krothar’s clergy, known as the Keepers of the Wild, are usually druids, rangers, or warriors skilled in the ways of the wild. They are tasked with guarding sacred groves, protecting endangered species, and preserving the natural balance. The Keepers of the Wild are bound by a strict code that forbids wastefulness, emphasizes the sanctity of all life, and mandates respectful coexistence with nature.   Sacred Animals: Wolves, Eagles, Bears, Stags

Tenets of Faith

Respect All Life: Every creature in the wild has a purpose and deserves respect. Do not harm unless it is necessary for survival.   Guard the Balance: Protect the delicate balance of nature. Prevent overhunting, deforestation, and pollution.   Honor the Hunt: If you must take a life, do so swiftly and respectfully. Use all parts of the animal to honor its sacrifice.   Defend the Defenseless: Be the voice for the voiceless. Protect animals and plants that are endangered or threatened.   Live in Harmony: Seek harmony with nature in all aspects of life. Build sustainable homes, cultivate fruitful gardens, and preserve the wilderness.
