Polzani Commonwealth (Poll-Zah-Ne)

The Polzani are a nation of heavy horse riders that established themselves on the western part of the Boyarska region. Originally a Sythanian tribe (like most northern nations), they eventually went independent after a few exchanges (both negative and positive) with the muabin. A vast land to hold has their own, the Polzani benefited immensely from Kaastian envoys. These envoys brought, goods, knowledge, religion and gunpowder.   Since then, they have developed their cities and roads, mastered their horsemanship and adopted a monotheistic religion.   The region is divided into eight duchys, each independent inside Polzani borders, and giving the Polzani political entity their power for commerce and military if needed. The West is made by the former Grand Duchy of Krushia (now divided into South, East and West), the former Kingdom of Galtakia (now divided into Upper Galtakia and Duchy of Galtakia), the Duchies of Radenia and Libona and the central Duchy of Polzania.   The Polzani piously worship Klaar since it's adoption, when Kaastian priests came to the region to try to indoctrinate the local tribes. Their worship has evolved to an overzealous point and while they respect other faiths, they consider Klaar the only true god.   These horsemen are the most feared in all the continent, with their incoming charges raising fear among enemy ranks.   Polzani cavalry is known for their heavy armor and their soldiers, both on and off the horses, are known to use striped flags on their backs, resembling long wings. These knights are known as the hussars.   Hussars travel in medium or heavy armor. Their horses equally armored. They usually fire once their flintlocks, before charging with lance ready, for the heavy impact, and afterwards adapt against their current enemy.   In melee, mounted hussars use estocs when fighting against other mounted enemies, while they prefer to cleave non-mounted enemies with the impact of the heavy pick.   Against heavily armored enemies they use their reflex bows to pin them.   Infantry prefers the use of either a palasz (a basket-hilt broadsword) or a cutlass.   These proud people have a good economy, with iron deposits and wheat.   An average Polzani is tall and stocky, measuring around 1.80m to 2m. Women are slightly smaller and slender. They usually sport either very dark or light blonde hair, with their eyes usually between green or gray.
