The Disappearance of the Band of the Lark

Expedition

The Band's first job after getting their Adventuring Licenses resulted in them being displaced in time.

After receiving their Adventuring Licenses, the Band of the Lark enquired with Roy Fitzroy about getting work in exchange for Adventuring Tickets. Roy tasks the Band with tracking down one of the groups of would-be adventurers who have not returned from their fairly routine task. The party headed to the missing group's destination, a mystical forest that connects to an Elven domain. However, upon traversing into the Elven domain, the Band found themselves in a sinister parody of the forest. Soon, they found one of the missing party: Figi, a Drow Warlock missing an eye and barely clinging to life. The party provided healing, but he ran at the first sight of Lumizavar. Continuing further into the dark realm, the Band was led to a dragon-shaped cavern that leaked a river of acid out its mouth. Entering the cavern, the found it occupied by black kobolds, a black dragon wyrmling and black Dragonborn Antipaladin. Finding a secluded passage in the wyrmling's den, the Band managed to sneak into the Antipaladin's quarters where they confronted him and a number of kobolds. They managed to defeat them, but in process of resting up after the fight, the rest of the kobolds fled the caverns. They found the rest of the missing party dead, collected their effects, looted the caverns and took the Antipaladin's head as proof of his defeat. However, the head vanished upon exiting the pocket realm. The party discovered upon their arrival back at Scrubfort that though their journey to and from the forest was only 2 days, 2 weeks had passed since they left Scrubfort. For helping Figi and discovering the fate for the rest of his party the Band was awarded their first Adventuring Ticket.
