Duke and Duchess of justice

Duke of Justice is the title held by the leaders of Estril. In 1794 there are currently six Dukes of justice who sits at the council of justice.
These are all mostly the original Dukes of justice named by the grand cardinal Floyd Vincent.

Qualifications

If a new Duke of justice is to be named they have to be well educated at least. They also need to be able to fill a role in the council such as having a great mind or family name. One of the most important qualifications however, is the wealth and power the person has.

Responsibilities

The dukes of justice are tasked with running the whole of Estril and make important decisions.
They are also responsible for commanding the military forces and peacekeepers of Estril.
They are the ones who decides on laws and one or two dukes of justice might also judge trials on important people if needed.

Being one of the seven people leading an entire country has its benefits. Such as political power, wealth and much more.

Grounds for Removal/Dismissal

Dukes of justice can be removed by vote of the other dukes of justice.
Reason for such a vote can be :
If the duke in question is found to be doing highly illegal activates.
If they are found conspiring with the enemies.
If they go against council vote.
If they are not devoted to morism.

If a duke of justice is removed from the council they will be exiled from Estril if they are lucky or put on trial if the reasons for dismissal are very serious.

History

The dukes of justice were first named after the rebellion of Estril. The dukes of justice were chosen By Cardinal Floyd Vincent. They were chosen as to be a collection of people containing Estrils greatest minds and powerful families.
