Tiefling

Tieflings are humanoids with fiendish bloodlines. Most tieflings are the offspring of other tieflings, but occasionally a tiefling child is born to otherwise ordinary parents. Scholars can't be certain what causes this, but the conventional wisdom is that the child reflects a bargain (or, rarely, a romantic dalliance) made with a fiend by one of the child's parents.
Unfortunately, tieflings have been subject to discrimination in many corners of Arvor, particularly during times of strife. However, the vast majority of Arvoreans recognize that, regardless of origin, not a single tiefling is to blame for any fiendish acts of the past.
There are a handful of small tiefling settlements in Arvor, but for the most part you will find tieflings living among other folk. Eons ago, some tieflings embarked for the distant continent of Asnolak to establish a new home for their people, but this was largely unsuccessful.
